If one question was ask of me, ‘What do I want?’ – My answer seems to be shoes, shoes shoes!”
Sometimes when I think about the things I would scramble to grab if my house were on fire, I think about my shoes. I feel pretty confident that I would make sure my dog and cat were safely out of harms way first, but after that I would grab my shoes.
Fortunately, I don’t own an expensive pair of Louboutin’s, Manolo Blahnik’s or Jimmy Choo’s, although I would love to, I just can’t afford them. But then again, I can’t afford most shoes I buy and yet I continue to buy them anyway. I find a way because no other article of clothing or accessory in my wardrobe allows me to subtly express everything I am or want to be. Perhaps I love the height of heels too much that at some point I tend to overlook the slight price I have to pay when an evening is done and now I am home in bed looking at my not so happy swollen feet and feel sorry for them. This is where I have learned to better take care of my two little footsies, so that they can love me back and take me on the road to more shoes shopping! 🙂
Here are the quick and very simple 3 effective tips we can do treat & pamper our feet:
A Quick Feet Soak
- Before a night out or before an event when you know you’ll be wearing heels for a long time, give yourself some extra time to pamper and give your little lovely feet a special quick treat. Soak your feet in warm Rose scented & Himalayan pink salt water for 20 mins or so. It relaxes the feet and releases any pre existing stress or numbness in them. If you would like to go a slight further to treat your feet before or even after the evening’s out. The second option is try to give your feet a special chamomile soak treatment, it will require a little more time to prepare, but in the end your lovely little feet will thank you. 🙂
The Tape Trick
- Here’s a high heel trick from the supermodels. This trick is basically taping your THIRD AND FOURTH toes together (big toe is no.1 and smallest toe is no.5). Doing so numbs your feet and takes the pressure off of the balls of your feet. I just use regular kitchen tape but you can use whatever tape you can find. It totally works!
The Must Haves “Insoles”
- For all high heels lovers out there, you must add insoles to your high heel shoes, do not underestimate the value of insoles! They are truly God’s gift to women. Although, most of my heels do not have insoles. But I make sure that the ones I wear regularly all have Dr.Scholl’s Insoles in them. Because they are so helpful in avoiding long term damage as well.
Another special bonus treatment for your feet when you have more time especially during the weekend this treatment will be most beneficial. Most of us are aware of the calming properties of chamomile tea when it comes to drinking it, not only a relaxing beverage, chamomile tea is the best foot soak ingredient for soaking away the troubles of your day and it will leave your feet smelling beautifully and lightly scented.
