The things I love about Autumn . . .
Wednesday, September 23 is the start of the Fall season. As much as I love the blues of waters, cold popsicles, and lazy days of summer… every year when fall inches in, I can feel a rejuvenation of my spirit and an excitement raising. I have always love and adore the Fall season!
As Autumn slowly inches in, I’d thought I’d share a few of the things I look forward to as autumn begins. When I feel that first crisp breeze, I know that Summer is gone and Fall is in the air. Every season has its upside; however, autumn has a particular beauty to it. I appreciate what each season has to offer and sure to make the most of all its bounty while it’s upon us. When I think about autumn, it is so hard to narrow down to a small list of Fall favorites. There is simply so much about this season to celebrate. From the weather that brings ankle boots and sweaters out of hiding, to the colorful painted landscapes, to the loud cheers and screams of a crowd of people at the local football game, to the sweet sweet smells of baked goods and warm Chocolate Latte.
Fall colors are so welcoming and warming. Colors like deep reds, forest greens, and gold can’t be worn as often in seasons like spring and summer, so I tend to take full advantage of them during the Fall. Just surrounding myself with those colors makes me feel more in a Fall mood. There is nothing I love as much as getting all comfy and cozy in some Autumn clothing.
Some beautiful things I love about magnificent autumn . . .
While I’m not much of a huge Pumpkin Spice Latte girl, I do enjoy and love hot beverages a lot like hot chocolate latte, Apple pear cider, and Cinnamon tea. Cool weather means I can warm up with a cup full of something very yummy. 🙂
Out with the ice, and in with the warm cafe lattes. Ofcourse, we can still enjoy our favorite iced beverage if we prefer, but the sound of cafe or hot chocolate on a crispy fall morning sounds absolutely delightful.
The crispy crunching of the fallen leaves. It only comes around once a year, so enjoy it. While I am out walking my Beagle, the two of us managed to rumaged though piles of leaves!
Holidays. Rosh Hashanah, Columbus Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving. It is a great season to be festive and gather with your family. Sweet smell of salted caramel is definitely in season.
The return of our favorite television shows! We will finally get to find out what has been going on with our favorite characters, and solve the mystery of the season finale’s cliffhanger.
The weather in the Fall is the BEST is yet to come. I’ve never enjoyed hot weather, living in France the low 70s is my ideal weather. And perhaps, there’s nothing quite like sitting inside with a warm fire, put on your favorite cozy socks, wrapped up in a blanket, and enjoy a good book by the crackling fire on a crisp night!
The food that we eat around Fall is incredible! Chili, apple cider, pumpkin chocolate chip muffins … I love transitioning our meals from summer grilling to fall comfort food.
Bring your laptop out to the park where you’ll get some inspiration while working and watching the leaf falls as you take a moment to look up and enjoy the beautiful nature..
Fall fashion. Gorgeous suede skirt, nice sweater, skinny jeans and boots … and scarves! Oh… I just LOVE dressing for the Fall & look good while you work on your blog. 🙂
