‘A woman’s dress should be a like a barbed-wire fence: serving its purpose without obstructing the view.’
– Sophia Loren
Paris . . . “joie de vivre” think of it as a way of life. Paris is a center of fashion, cuisine, art and architecture. Growing up in Paris, I used to pass by the Carrousel du Louvre every year just to have a peek inside during the Paris Fashion Week, or my friends and I would stand around outside just to get a glimpse of the Fashionistas, the Attendees, the Stylists just for the fun and curiosity of it. Those days are far behind me now 🙁
Well, besides the great Fashion that is going on this week. Since I am not there, I will pretend as if I am there at the very least to just enjoy the fine snacks, food and wine. At least my spirit is there right? 🙂 Let’s have a quick talk about food and wine, after all, this is what Paris is all about … I pretty much grew up on wine & cheese, in France they are central to life at all socioeconomic levels, and much socializing is done around lengthy dinners. While French dishes are known for their complex, and rich flavors, most French people eat bread, wine and cheese daily … Yes daily! 🙂
In France, there is a distinctive culture of French food that is undeniable. And that is of course “vin et fromage” wine & cheese. Oh la la, the cheese, we can basically write a book about it, there are so much cheese, the 246 different kinds of cheeses. Every region of France has its own particular cheeses. We’ll just stick to the main dish today, which is the Camembert & Burgundy wine as we all know and loved.
“How can you govern a country which has 246 varieties of cheese?”
― Charles de Gaulle
The great Camembert … My Love! 🙂
You are the butter to my bread … and the breath to my life 🙂
It’s a smile, it’s a kiss, it’s a sip of wine … it’s Paris Time!
And there you have it, a quick glimpse of my life during Paris Fashion Week. 🙁 Have you been to Paris Fashion Week lately? When in Paris, don’t forget to enjoy these finest little things in life. You’ll love it … Trust me! 🙂
Bonjour Weekend & Bonjour Paris Fashion Week! 🙂
